This research project explores the factors influencing young adults' appreciation of old Hindi music. It examines how cultural exposure, nostalgia, personal experiences, and accessibility through streaming platforms shape their musical preferences. The study aims to understand why listeners in their 20s gravitate toward songs from the 1950s-1980s, comparing them with contemporary music. Through discussions and analysis, the research investigates whether younger generations perceive old Hindi music as more authentic or emotionally resonant and how social influences, such as family and media, contribute to this trend. Ultimately, it seeks to uncover patterns driving the resurgence of vintage Hindi melodies. ~by Vidushi Lal
