Drowning Lives

Alcohol and its relationship with addiction is a widely covered subject, but what mostly remains in the shadows are the lives affected by it. Through the film Drowning lives (dir. Vandana Dubey), we wanted to cover the adverse impact on families, particularly women and children affected by alcohol addiction of their respective family members. The easy-made accessibility and availability of alcohol promoted by various state governments in India while its repercussions on women and children are undealt with and remains un-intervened, directly impacting the lives of women and children. We believed it was something to be questioned, so we did.
